Congratulations GM World Champion in GAYP Lubabalo Kondlo of South Africa

World Title Match between GM Michele Borghetti - Italy (current GAYP champion) vs GM Lubabalo Kondlo - S. Africa,

scheduled for September 8-14 at The ICHF, Petal, MS. This is the results of Kondlo winning the WCDF GAYP Qualifier 

last year in Petal, MS at ICHF and then challenged Borghetti for the GAYP World Title in 2018.  The contest ended 

a day early so Kondlo was ahead and no need to continue so I will get you the details later when I get them.

 

The match details are moving forward for Michele Borghetti and challenger, Lubabalo Kondlo. The dates are now September 8-14 in Petal, MS. 

(This information is in the latest ACF bulletin.) Sergio Scarpetta is also coming to ICHF to attend. The players are reviewing the match contract. 

We are hoping to reach a prize fund of over $4000, but the match budget is even larger, with flights considered. Thanks to those donors who have already

As scheduled, the opening ceremony will be tomorrow September 8th at 8:30 am and the first round will start at 3:30 pm.

The match will be played on the historical table used by Marion Tinsley, Asa Long, Don Lafferty and other great past champions.

The first day was over. We had the first two games. Both of them ended in a draw. 

Each game lasted a little more than hour.
